The Buffalo Bill Saddle
Club, Golden Range, Colorado, is a non-profit organization of horse
lovers that encourages its members to participate in a variety of riding
activities, select, care for and train their horses through contact with
other members at regular club meetings, horseshows, clinics, trail rides
and the social activities planned and sponsored by the Buffalo Bill
Saddle Club (BBSC) members. The Buffalo Bill Saddle Club meets on the
2nd Wednesday of each month at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, in Room

the rides are Breakfast Rides at which the club supplies the food.
Other rides are Day Rides into public open space with members taking
their saddle-bag lunch and drink. Overnight Rides and 'Pack-Ins' are
into the state parks, wilderness areas, or Pawnee grasslands, and are
scheduled for summer weekends. Geneva Basin, Kenosha Pass, Maroon
Bells, and the Flat Tops are some of the recent overnight trips. The
Buffalo Bill Saddle Club enjoys several dinner dances each year. The
BBSC Birthday Party in February celebrates the club's existence since
1946. The Christmas season is celebrated with a dinner-dance. Many
parades are followed by restaurant meals, prior to trailering home.
Potluck dinners are often included with evening or moonlight trail rides
and always at our Halloween Hayrack Ride. All members are encouraged
to ride with the Club in the parades that BBSC enters each year. During
the Buffalo Bill Days parade in Golden, and the Evergreen parade,
members follow "Buffalo Bill" in early western garb, and try to
replicate Cody's era in appearance. In other parades the Club wears
blue and gold uniforms and horse tack with western boots and saddles |
