If you are wondering how to help the folks in the fire evacuation areas ... Jeffco Horse Evacuation Assistance Team is called on by the sheriff's departments for just these kinds of situations. Their members are all volunteers and are all TRAINED as first responders who are allowed to go in to the areas to be evacuated. They are called Jeffco HEAT but they help all over Colorado when asked. They will be putting in a lot of time and miles. If you care to donate to the cause they use the funds to buy equipment www.JeffcoHEAT.org
